Overview Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, Food and Beverage, the Supervisor, Food and Beverage is responsible for efficient scheduling and oversight of subordinate employees, aiming to improve the quantity and quality of work continuously and ensure economical operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assists with day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage venues by ensuring the team delivers best‑in‑class service to all guests while following Enterprise service standards. Prioritizes training and understanding of all line‑level positions to maintain and elevate brand standards, increasing overall guest satisfaction. Collaborates with venue leadership to develop and execute department initiatives that build sales, profitability, and cost control; ensures communication and execution of department‑wide fiscal and operational goals. Meets and maintains all safety and health requirements according to applicable codes, tracks completion of required department‑wide training, and ensures food is served in a healthy, safe, and timely manner. Determines materials, equipment, and facilities needed for efficient operations; maintains cleanliness, organization, and preparedness of immediate workspace and adjacent areas, and ensures safety and security standards are in place and followed. Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department. Supervisory Responsibilities Conducts interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; plans, assigns, reviews, and directs work; evaluates and appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning for all key roles. Education, Experience and Qualifications Associate’s degree in hospitality management, food service, business, or related field. Minimum of two (2) years of restaurant, customer‑service, or related experience. Relevant or direct experience may be considered in lieu of the minimum educational requirements. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Strong leadership and people‑management skills with ability to collaborate and motivate others. Ability to delegate, multi‑task, lead, and prioritize in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with strong organizational and time‑management skills. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all legal and regulatory requirements. Read, write, and communicate in English. Perform simple mathematical operations. Provide friendly and efficient service, addressing needs and resolving issues. Communicate effectively with guests and team members. Stay calm and efficient during busy periods. Required Licences, Certifications and Registrations Obtain and maintain a gaming licence at the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission. Obtain and maintain Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification. Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions – Environment The primary work environment is a climate‑controlled casino & resort setting. Work may involve travel to meetings, trade shows and conferences. Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts. Must be able to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand environment. Strength sufficient to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally or a negligible amount frequently, and to move objects up to 40 pounds occasionally. Sedentary most of the time with constant computer use. Must handle balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting and repetitive motions. Must hear conversational levels and speak clearly. Visual acuity for data analysis and computer use required. Mobility to move in office, walk, bend, kneel, and operate motor vehicle during promotional events. Endurance to sit, walk, stand for extended periods and maintain efficiency throughout shift. Must present a neat, clean and well‑groomed appearance. Exposure to fumes or airborne particles may occur.
