Human Resources Generalist Revere Public School District – Revere, Massachusetts Starting Date: Immediately Position Type: Full-time Salary: $65,000 to $80,000 per year Job Description The role of the Human Resources Generalist (HRG) is to ensure the smooth operation of the HR Department in supporting over 1400 employees of Revere Public Schools. The HRG maintains discretion, sensitivity and professionalism while delivering a full range of HR services and adapting to evolving department needs. Schedule Full time, 40‑hour, 12‑month position scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional extended hours and weekends may be required. Responsibilities Guide employees through leave planning, eligibility, and benefits for statutory and contractual leaves. Adhere to process timelines, coordinate with payroll and supervisors on compensation implications, and maintain accurate leave data. Manage unemployment claims, billing reconciliation, and appeal hearings. Handle industrial accident claims, including injury reports, hazard investigations, and return‑to‑work accommodations. Develop recruitment and onboarding plans, maintain job boards, applicant tracking, and onboarding systems. Represent the district in recruitment events and promote diversity initiatives. Contribute to HR systems management (Frontline, Munis, Powerschool) and data quality. Conduct verifications of employment, manage salary lane changes, and assist with benefits enrollment. Support off‑boarding, counseling, exit surveys, and equity & inclusion initiatives. Prepare and execute HR training programs; participate in department visioning and cross‑training. Qualifications Outstanding interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and respect for others. Commitment to confidentiality and discretion. Deep commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and culturally responsive practices. Proficiency in English and at least one additional community language (Spanish/Portuguese/Arabic). Bachelor’s degree (Associate considered with relevant experience). 1‑2 years of HR operations experience, knowledge of employment laws and benefits management. In‑depth knowledge of ADA, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation and other statutory accommodation programs. Experience in recruitment, screening, and interviewing. Familiarity with social media outreach, job boards, applicant tracking, and onboarding systems. Ability to apply multiple collective bargaining contract provisions with statutory provisions. Demonstrated initiative, superior customer service, innovation, and problem‑solving skills. Experience with Human Capital Management systems and employee life‑cycle management. Detail‑oriented, highly organized, accurate data entry, familiarity with payroll data. Experience with Munis preferred. Successful background check.
