- Confirm fire location
- Travel to fire incident and communicate with Incident Commander
- Monitor fire movement, intensity, and potential spread patterns using fire behavior indicators
- Identify nearest utility infrastructure and evaluate potential fire impact
- Observe fire weather and records wind speed, direction, humidity, and temperature
- Attend operational briefings and co-operator meetings
- Identify operational plans that impact infrastructure
- Coordinate with company personnel throughout incident
- Experienced background in wildland fire operations
- Possess NWCG qualification of Engine Boss and/or Crew Boss
- Understand and articulate fire behavior projection in different fuels, topography, and weather
- Clear and timely ability to write reports and conduct administrative duties
- Work independently and in teams and maintain good working relationships
- Possess NWCG qualification of Task Force Leader (TFLD) or Incident Commander Type 3 (ICT3) or Division Group Supervisor (DIVS) is a plus
- Position starts immediately and is estimated to end 06/15/2026
- Position will include on call requirements and travel
- Pay rate is $50/hr. plus expense reimbursement for travel requirements
