About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Lexington, Kentucky, 40502!

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments incorporating culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors in accordance with RN scope of practice and applicable policies.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care using all four phases of the nursing process, coordinating with patients, families, and the inter-professional team.
• Administer medications, perform wound care, IV therapy, and other medical procedures while utilizing medical equipment and technology proficiently.
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition; initiate appropriate interventions to address patient stress and discomfort.
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including timely execution of discharge orders, patient and family education, and coordination with Case Management.
• Participate actively in unit-based quality improvement activities, including monitoring of patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation audits.

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required.
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment and technology.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and task-prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family education.

• Experience in neurology or stroke care is highly desirable for this unit.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Familiarity with evidence-based nursing practice and current clinical research.
