Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 per year
• Position Type: Full-time, Direct Hire
• Shift: Primarily 1st shift (oversight of 1st and 2nd shifts)
• Location: Franklin Park, IL

Job Summary

A leading industrial metals manufacturing facility in Franklin Park is seeking a Maintenance Manager. You will oversee all facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, and a team of 4 technicians. This role ensures maximum uptime through proactive preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations:

• Manage four maintenance technicians across first and second shifts.
• Schedule, coordinate, and oversee specialized outside contractors.
• Lead day-to-day troubleshooting to minimize manufacturing downtime.
• Enforce OSHA guidelines, lockout/tagout, and safety compliance.

Equipment & Systems Maintenance:

• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Program and diagnose Allen-Bradley PLCs and process controls.
• Execute preventive maintenance programs for industrial machinery.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.

Facility & Inventory Management:

• Manage the spare parts inventory and order replacement components.
• Oversee building upkeep including HVAC filters, plumbing, and electrical.
• Coordinate building infrastructure care like painting and minor repairs.
• Schedule mandatory annual inspections including building fire extinguishers.

Qualifications & Skills

Required Experience:

• Management: 3–5 years of industrial maintenance management experience.
• Prior experience in metals manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.
• Technical: Advanced troubleshooting in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Automation: Direct experience with Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting.
• Safety: Deep knowledge of OSHA standards and safety protocols.

Preferred Skills:

• Language: Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) are highly valued.
• Systems: Strong computer literacy for inventory tracking and documentation.

This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin Park, IL.

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
