Software Engineer, Agent Runtime

Salary: $211,000 - 251,000 per year Requirements:

• Passion for developing cutting-edge AI products.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production systems.
• Ability to take initiative and drive outcomes in a high-autonomy environment.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience building production products and systems.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: Experience building AI-powered systems or agent frameworks.
• Preferred: Experience with retrieval, evaluation systems, or LLM-based applications.
• Preferred: Experience building developer platforms or SDKs.
• Preferred: Experience with Go and TypeScript.

• Build and develop the Agent SDK, including the orchestration engine, runtime, and primitives that shape how agents reason, act, and interact with users and systems.
• Design the agentic loop and define primitives for agents that are steerable, verifiable, conversational, and adaptive in real-world settings.
• Improve retrieval and grounding systems so agents can provide accurate, trustworthy responses using relevant knowledge.
• Develop evaluation frameworks that help us and our customers measure and improve agent quality over time.
