As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and respond to alarms as needed. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $28.90 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM Tue 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM Wed 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM Thur 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM Fri 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, members, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government professional licensing and regulatory office location. Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities. Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by providing directions, communicating professionally with the public, and reporting facility or security-related issues to appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements: At least two years of security-related experience is required. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
