General Superintendent, Commercial Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Superintendent to join our team in the Commercial Project & Construction Management sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale commercial projects and leading diverse teams to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of commercial construction projects, from pre-construction to project closeout. Lead and manage on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are met. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project alignment. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to project specifications. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential risks to ensure smooth project execution. Qualifications Proven experience as a General Superintendent in commercial construction, with a strong portfolio of completed projects. Extensive knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Proficiency in construction management software and tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in construction. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required. Day-to-Day Coordinate daily construction activities and ensure alignment with project plans. Conduct site meetings with team members and stakeholders to discuss progress and address challenges. Monitor and manage resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment. Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Address and resolve any on-site issues promptly to avoid project delays. Maintain accurate documentation of project activities, including daily logs and reports.
