Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry - Part Time - Nights Job Description This is a part-time night shift RN position for Seton 1 Cardiac Telemetry at Lourdes Hospital. Cardiac Telemetry is a 25-bed acute care unit at Guthrie Lourdes in Binghamton, NY. The unit manages cardiac diagnoses such as heart failure, irregular rhythms, and heart attacks and also serves as the primary stroke unit. It is a fast-paced environment that offers diverse patient experiences and skill development. Position Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. The RN is accountable for delivering coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence‑based quality care to patients and families, meeting individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, and related scope and standards of practice. Education, License & Certification Registered Nurse in the state of practice. BSN in Nursing preferred. Specialty certification preferred. BLS certification. ACLS unit‑dependent. PALS unit‑dependent. Experience Minimum one year of RN experience, or less if transitioned from the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) program. Must meet unit specifications regarding educational requirements during employment. Maintain BLS certification; ACLS and PALS as required by unit. Essential Functions Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; coordinate and update the plan of care to achieve goals and optimize outcomes. Advocate for ethical and holistic care, promoting autonomy, dignity, and rights. Facilitate learning for patients, families, nursing staff, and the healthcare team. Align practice with safety and quality principles; use data and evidence to improve outcomes. Engage in professional development and evidence‑based practice. Lead collaboratively within the interprofessional team; delegate, coordinate care, and model professional behavior. Participate in educational program planning and presentation. Perform additional duties as assigned related to the position. Other Duties Proficiency with electronic health records and related health IT systems. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff as part of an interdisciplinary team. Apply independent, critical judgment in patient care delivery. Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and supportive attitude. Manage multiple responsibilities and urgent responses effectively. Pay range: $39.00 - $54.12 per hour + shift differentials.
