Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager leads financial administration and management for a business by communicating profitability and potential risks, assisting the controller for month-end close, and managing Work in Process (WIP) while overseeing a portfolio of multiple +$500M projects. This role will sit primarily in the office (Columbus or Cleveland), but travel to the project job sites meeting with the project teams and subcontractors.Who are we? Plan for and support development of individual skills and abilities.QualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field8-10 years of experience Or equivalent combination of education and experience in the construction industryKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIESStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to learn construction management and payment management softwareTravel 30% of the timeSalary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.For Ohio this ranges from $110,000-$151,250 plus benefits and retirement program.Gilbane offers an excellent total compensation package which includes competitive health and welfare benefits and a generous profit-sharing/401k plan.
