Industrial Athletic Trainer / Strength & Conditioning Coach (ATC)

Location: Mission Valley, CA (Onsite 5 days/week; occasional travel to other sites)

Schedule: 5:30 AM 2:30 PM

Duration: 2-Year Contract (Strong potential for conversion based on performance and budget)

Position Overview

We are seeking an Industrial Athletic Trainer / Strength & Conditioning Coach to support workforce health, mobility, and injury prevention initiatives in a field-based environment.

This role is focused on proactive wellnessnot injury treatmentby delivering movement screenings, strength and conditioning programs, and group training sessions to improve employee performance, reduce risk, and support long-term health.

This individual will work closely with leadership and an existing program lead to expand fitness, mobility, and recovery programs across both field and office environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily group stretching, mobility, and conditioning sessions for employees
• Conduct movement screenings and assessments to identify risk areas and improvement opportunities
• Develop and implement strength, conditioning, and recovery programs tailored to workforce needs
• Deliver training sessions across multiple groups throughout the day, including field and office staff
• Support expansion of wellness programs including mobility, recovery, and conditioning initiatives
• Partner with leadership and training teams to integrate fitness programming into technical training environments
• Promote a proactive approach to injury prevention, focusing on performance and durability
• Engage and motivate employees, fostering participation and consistency in programs
• Provide education on proper movement mechanics, rest/recovery, and overall wellness practices

Required Qualifications

• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC certification required)
• Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in athletic training, strength and conditioning, or related field
• Strong understanding of movement mechanics, injury prevention, and performance training
• Experience leading group training sessions or large classes
• Ability to work early morning hours in a physically active environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Tactical Strength & Conditioning (TSAC) certification
• Background in tactical, military, or industrial environments
• Experience in corporate fitness or workforce wellness programs
• Experience working with large, diverse groups in a structured training environment
