Field & Lab Entomology Research Assistant

Position Summary(Basic Job Function) This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides technical support. Responsibilities may include computer programming or operations; research support; medical patient care; technical equipment maintenance, repair, fabrication or operation; or other technical support functions. Unit Position Summary We seek research assistants to support the research and extension missions of the Berry Crops Entomology program. Current projects are focused on insect pests of commercial blueberry crops and the successful applicants will assist in conducting research. This will be partially in a laboratory setting, but also in field settings working in fruit farms across western Michigan. Desired Qualifications Interest in biology or entomology fields. Experience with field and laboratory research.
