Cycle Counter

Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Cycle Counter at Walker Products, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the efficient flow of materials within our facility. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and collaborating with various departments to optimize inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular cycle counts of inventory according to established schedules.
2. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies by conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
3. Utilize inventory management software to update records and reconcile inventory counts.
4. Collaborate with warehouse personnel, production teams, and procurement to identify issues and implement process improvements.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and procedures.
6. Assist in the implementation of inventory control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
7. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address inventory-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
8. Participate in physical inventory audits and assist in the preparation of audit reports.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management is a plus.
2. Previous experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or related field preferred.
3. Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
5. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
8. Flexibility to work occasional weekends or overtime as needed.
