Software Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Engineer in Riviera Beach, FL for an eight-month contract role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities, including designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging software solutions for business and mission applications. The engineer will work throughout the software development life cycle and apply software standards, processes, procedures, and tools.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of computer hardware and software
• Understanding of software development life cycle processes and standards
• Ability to design, develop, document, test, and debug software

• Ability to develop software based on system requirements and user input

• Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities
• Design, develop, document, test, and debug software
• Develop logical and mathematical solutions to business and mission problems
• Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle
• Use knowledge of computer hardware, software, and information processing techniques to develop applications
• Correct program errors and prepare operating instructions
• Compile software development documentation
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve questions involving program intent, output requirements, input data, programming techniques, and controls
• Ensure software standards are met
