Job Summary

Geisinger’s Cancer Institute is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing team at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. This role provides the opportunity to practice high‑quality, patient‑centered oncology care within a physician‑led, nationally recognized health system.

Location & Schedule

Location: Geisinger Lewistown Hospital (GLH), Lewistown, Pennsylvania.

Shift: Day shifts.

Scheduled weekly hours: 40.

Worker type: Regular. Exemption status: Yes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care to patients, including evaluation, treatment planning, and follow‑up.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (surgical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, supportive services).
• Participate in clinical trials and academic collaborations across the Geisinger Cancer Institute network.
• Engage in teaching and research opportunities for professional growth.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records using EPIC.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology.
• Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to high‑quality patient care and continuous learning.
