Provide support as directed by designated supervisor. Job Summary Working independently, exercising good judgment and discretion inexecuting and developing the Academic Success Programs within ClubSports. Supervising study hall students below a 2.5 GPA. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Academic Enhancement of Club Sports student-athletes. Directly supervise Study Hall daily. Challenge student-athletes to achieve academic goals. Provide and facilitate a healthy and effective study space forstudent-athletes . Work as part of Club Sports team and individual. Work to enhance the Club Sports programs and uphold the missionand values of Club Sports. Work under the direction of the ASHA. Work in study hall setting. Must have a flexible attitude and work ethic to work as a teamand individual. Assigned duties from supervisor(s) Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes,products, services, and leading industry performancebenchmarks. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’smission. Supervisory Responsibilities None Qualifications and Credentials Education and Experience Four-year college degree, with a concentration in BusinessDevelopment or Education, 1 + years in an office environment functioning with 1+ of those years in a management capacity .Strong experience required in academic development with knowledgeof a variety of sports teams’ functional requirements.Well-developed communication skills both verbally and written. Essential Abilities and Competencies Communication and Comprehension Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information. Ability to understand, speak, and write English to convey messages and correspond articulately and professionally. Possess public communication skills that allow for a professional representation of Liberty University. Strong organizational skills. Excellent computer skills. Problem Solving Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Physical and Sensory Abilities Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard. Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building. Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel, or stoop to conduct business. Regularly lift 10 or fewer pounds. Working Conditions Work Environment The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting. It is well lit and the noise level is moderate. Driving Requirement If the employee is required to travel in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position, the use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel. Proof of a valid driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance is required when driving in the performance of the employee’s position. Time Type Part time Location Onsite Pay Range Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.
