Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1+ year required License: Valid Michigan RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS Must-Have: - Travel experience highly preferred - Must be willing to work with a variety of staff - Flexible with scheduling, including holidays Description: Holiday coverage is required. RTO during holidays must remain flexible to accommodate staffing demands. This position offers a good mix of medical patients. Staffing ratios for nights are 1:5-6, potentially flexing to 8 patients but with RN support in such instances. The unit focuses on constant reassessment of patient readiness for discharge. Expect to float to other medical surgical units as required. Weekend work is required every other weekend. Ideal candidates will have experience in high patient turnover units. Successful candidates will possess great prioritization skills and customer service abilities. Must be able to manage increased patient ratios and handle patient surges. Balancing patient throughput with patient experience is essential.
