Customer Service Representative I

Job Description: The Customer Service Representative I is responsible for providing entry-level support to customers by addressing inquiries, processing requests, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role contributes to organizational objectives by delivering timely and accurate responses while supporting order processing and service coordination efforts. The position works under guidance to resolve routine issues and escalate more complex concerns as needed. This role serves as a foundation for developing customer service knowledge and building strong communication and problem-solving skills. Primary Duties: * Respond to customer inquiries through various communication channels in a timely and professional manner. * Process orders, returns, and basic service requests accurately and in accordance with established procedures. * Maintain and update customer records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information. * Provide basic product and service information based on established guidelines and training. * Coordinate with internal departments to ensure customer needs are addressed effectively. * Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate team members or supervisors. * Follow standard procedures and workflows to resolve routine customer concerns. * Ensure a positive customer experience through clear communication and attention to detail. * Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Assist with documentation and tracking of customer interactions and requests. * Support team members with administrative customer service tasks. * Participate in training and development to improve product and system knowledge. * Contribute to team goals related to service quality and response time. * Performs other duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education and Experience Requirements: * Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); * 0+ years of experience in customer service or a related field, * Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Basic knowledge of customer service principles and practices. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to learn and use business systems and tools. * Attention to detail and accuracy. * Strong organizational and time management skills. * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Essential and Physical Functions: * Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. * Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately. * Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer or phone system. * Ability to use standard office equipment and systems. Work Environment: * Perform work primarily in an office or customer service environment. * Fast-paced and team-oriented setting requiring strong communication and adaptability. * Occasional exposure to operational or production environments for training purposes. * Regular interaction with customers and internal teams. * Compliance with all company policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. * Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required when visiting operational areas.
