Join us as our newest Senior Product Designer and help change the world of real estate, one home at a time.We are looking for a Senior Product Designer, Partner Marketplace to play an integral role in the performance and operation of a high-functioning product team. This role is expected to partner with the Product Manager and Engineering Lead from start to finish, from initial research and understanding of user problems, through scoping and the creation of user flows, all the way to polished pixels, shipped to the hands of our 100 million unique consumers and real estate professionals. To be successful in this role, you will need to confidently partner with your cross-functional team throughout the full product lifecycle with a high degree of comfort in all interaction & visual design activities, including contributing to the design system for our professional web & mobile apps. We fully expect that you will have stronger skills in some areas than others (i.e., stronger visual chops than research prowess), and that you are thirsty to continue learning and improving your skills. You will join a supportive team of product designers crafting tools and services for Agent and Broker customers to help grow their businesses and better support their clients throughout the buying and selling journey. This role requires strong visual design skills, as you will be creating experiences that connect our consumer and client-facing platforms.This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Design.What you’ll do:Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders—including researchers, product leaders, engineers, product marketing, brand, and other designers—on complex problemsBe the voice of the user, and explore multiple ideas while also knowing when to bring the work to an executable deliverableDeliver innovative solutions which significantly improve user experience across products for your teamIndependently lead all aspects of the design process from conception to completionArticulate the value of design as well as the reasons for your design decisions clearly, in non-designer-speak, to Product and Engineering teammates as well as other important stakeholdersActively contribute to the evolution and strengthening of our design system, including crafting components, auditing libraries, and ensuring quality in application of the systemFacilitate workshops, design sprints, and other collaborative sessions for your teamUphold a high standard for design excellence, and contribute to raising the bar for design at the companyWhat you’ll bring:8+ years working in design industry3+ years of working in a product-led organizationBachelor’s degree or equivalent experiencePortfolio which examples a strong design point of view and depth of experience, including user-centered design methodologies, interaction flows, prototyping, high-fidelity screens, and shipped productsProven ability to execute on diverse priorities, seamlessly navigating the context of both consumer and client-facing platformsExperience delivering multiple projects with cross-disciplined teamsStrong and clear communication skillsInformed and strong opinions, loosely heldA practitioner of user-centric processes and design thinking principlesMastery of design thinking practices and craftExemplifies a We, Not Me attitudeHow We Work:We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration.
