The Convention Services Manager for the Sheraton Greensboro/Joseph S. Koury Convention Center works directly with clients and meeting planners to coordinate and service conference, convention, corporate, and social groups with guest rooms, and/or catered functions. The position will guide and assist with menu selection, beverage selection, room configuration, and AV needs while up selling contracted food/beverage minimums, as well as associated activities and events. Will effectively communicate client/group needs to all hotel departments as they relate. The CSM is to ensure guest satisfaction and hotel profitability at all times while adhering to hotel policies and procedures. You will sell and service the dream! Requirements Job Requirements You must be professional in your approach with clients as well as the team with minimum of 2-5 years experience in meeting/event planning . Must have excellent food and beverage knowledge. This position requires a highly organized individual who is creative and can multi-task. Should be highly detail oriented. The ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people and calm nerves in any setting is required. Must have a confident can do attitude with the ability to be proactive so as to ensure the needs of assigned groups are satisfied and any corrective actions are taken when needed.
