Experience Requirements Experience with WALKIE RIDER & REACH TRUCK required. Available Shifts & Schedules 1st & 2nd Shift. Pay $20/hr - $24/hr Pay Incentives Attendance Incentive – up to $2,400 bonus for good attendance (refer to policy for rules and details). Referral Bonus – up to $500 per referral (refer to policy for rules and details). Hiring Bonus – up to $1,000 (refer to policy for rules and details). Step increase program – Pay will increase by $0.50 after 90 days and again after 180 days (Material Handlers only). Certified/qualified Forklift/Walkie Rider/Cherry Picker drivers will receive an additional $0.50 per hour. Certified/qualified Reach Truck drivers will receive an additional $1.00 per hour. Job Purpose To operate forklifts safely and efficiently; handle all freight inbound or outbound properly and orderly; maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping; load/unload RJW trucks/trailers and outside carriers safely using proper procedures; ensure shipments are correctly staged, checked, and loaded; store stock properly; provide material handling services for warehouse shipping and receiving activities; work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers; maintain forklift safety at all times following all safety policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist Warehouse Manager to ensure efficient operation of the warehouse. Operate reach truck and/or walkie rider. Use computers and handheld RF equipment. Load and unload RJW trucks/trailers safely and efficiently using proper procedures, including outside carriers equipment. Be flexible to work 10‑12 hour shifts when necessary and not afraid of heights. Pick and move stock from 1 lb. to 50 lbs. multiple times. Ensure all shipments are correctly staged and loaded. Maintain warehouse area with orderly stacking and good housekeeping. Process outbound cross‑dock freight as necessary. Oversee storing stock properly in the warehouse and moving product into the storage racks. Work from warehouse operations sheets using a forklift to pick customer orders and load on trailers. Record and verify the accuracy of shipments against the paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments / deliveries. Ensure all documentation and paperwork is properly completed. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently following all OSHA regulations, RJW safety policies, and procedures. Complete daily forklift maintenance inspections. Handle all customer products properly and orderly. Check deliveries for poor packing, general condition of materials, and damage; alert Warehouse Supervisor of any problems, taking pictures if necessary. Report all accidents/incidents, employee, damage of stock, or building damage to the Shift Supervisor immediately. Spot trailers to maintain efficient yard organization and flow of equipment for the day. Maintain access to dock doors both inside and outside the facility, keeping them free of debris or snow. Other tasks as assigned by manager. Responsible for seating belt wear when operating forklift. Additional Responsibilities Possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and be able to work with limited supervision. General understanding of computers and handheld RF equipment. Read, write, and understand English. Attention to detail and quality is a must. Good communication, clear and concise, problem resolution, and people skills. Flexibility in working overtime when needed, and supplying coverage to other shifts. PC skills helpful. Major experience on Reach Truck or Walkie Rider. Experience building pallets with stock and breaking down stock to fill independent orders. Experience in cross‑docking freight process. Ability to work in a fast‑paced warehouse. Qualifications 3–6 months of experience in a warehouse using Reach Truck/Walkie Rider. Good stable work record. Education and/or Experience Required High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED). Warehousing certifications a plus.
