SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Ordnance Operations Department of the Navy Munitions Command Pacific CONUS West of NMC CWD DET SEAL BEACH. Responsibilities You will oversee all logistics management functions associated with ordnance planning, production, and maintenance support. You will perform a full range of logistics management, planning, and inventory management duties. You will supervise a team of production controllers who provide logistic services and support to the Fleet and other customers. You will coordinate with all Pt. Hueneme Division (PHD) production facilities, production controllers, and PHD Inventory Managers to determine workload, delivery and pickup schedules to meet maintenance schedules. You will serve as a first line supervisor for up to 4 subordinate inventory management/production controllers. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating ordnance logistics functions by planning and delegating work efforts that support military operations and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of a commands productivity. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. OR Possession of an LL.M. that is related to this position being filled. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
