By combining our diverse testing menu with best-in-class service, we aim to redefine how medicine is managed for patients and clinicians alike.The Pathology Sales Representative is responsible for driving territory growth by identifying new business opportunities and strategically managing existing customer relationships. In this role, you will analyze customer industry needs and strategically sell pathology products and services. The successful candidate will build consultative, high-value relationships that drive consistent revenue growth and client retention. You will execute the entire sales cycle with a high level of service, balancing aggressive territory expansion with exceptional customer orientation.(Note: This position requires extensive overnight travel, ranging from 60% up to 90%).Territory Management: Dedicate 70% of your time to prospecting high-volume targets, 20% to client retention and penetrating additional case volume, and 10% to administrative duties.Strategic Growth: Create and execute strategic business plans to consistently achieve or exceed sales quotas while adhering to all company standards and policies.Business Development: Grow territory revenue by effectively prospecting target customers, delivering compelling value propositions, and routinely converting new business.Relationship Management: Act as the dedicated, single point of contact for assigned customers, negotiating agreements and establishing long-term strategic account value.Clinical Expertise: Maintain a high level of anatomic pathology product knowledge and industry expertise, particularly within Dermatopathology, GI, and GU.Communication: Communicate effectively and professionally with internal teams and external customers to exceed performance objectives and customer expectations.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required.Core Experience: 5+ years of diagnostic laboratory sales experience is required, specifically with a track record of calling on and selling to physicians and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs).Specialized Experience: 3+ years of dedicated anatomical pathology sales OR bone marrow experience is required.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the physician-client relationship, clinical needs, and how to position service and technology solutions for pathology requirements.Technical Aptitude: Ability to quickly learn, navigate, and apply knowledge of proprietary software programs.Problem Solving: Demonstrated decision-making ability to resolve issues under pressure while effectively communicating solutions to both coworkers and clients.Travel Capabilities: Willingness and ability to travel 60% to 90% of the time, working flexible hours as territory demands require.Core Traits: Positive attitude, relentless work ethic, a drive to win business, and an unwavering commitment to delighting clients by exceeding quality and service expectations.
