Manufacturing Biotechnologist 1 (Manufacturing Associate Level I)

Based in our active production suites, you will be responsible for the manufacture of therapeutic proteins (API) under cGMP conditions. By operating equipment, monitoring processes, and maintaining strict quality standards, you will help create life-changing therapies that reach patients in need.

This is a fully site‑based role. Working together in person supports close, real‑time collaboration and the technical precision needed to manufacture medicines to the highest quality and safety standards.

What you will do:

• Set up, operate, and monitor active production processes and equipment, including clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) operations.

• Perform basic laboratory tasks under close supervision, such as monitoring pH and conductivity, and testing product samples.

• Document all production activities accurately in written and electronic formats, ensuring strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

• Transfer raw materials and chemicals securely into, out of, and across the production areas to support ongoing manufacturing.

• Maintain the facility and equipment through routine cleaning, sanitization, and support of 6S organization programs, while demonstrating precise aseptic technique.

• Participate actively in administrative tasks including shift exchanges, team meetings, and continuous training to maintain qualification for all assigned tasks.

• Work a 12-hour day shift (06:00 - 18:00) on an alternating schedule (Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday).

What we are looking for:

• A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a science-related discipline is highly preferred.

• Proven logic, critical thinking skills, and the ability to make accurate, timely decisions while operating automated process equipment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills (business fluent English) to effectively report non-routine events and accurately review complex documentation.

• A collaborative mindset with a dedication to safety, quality, and continuous process improvement.

• The ability to fulfill the physical demands of a production floor environment, which includes continuous walking, standing, reaching, cleanroom gowning, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
