Senior Financial Systems Manager

Senior Financial Systems Manager – FP&A Senior Financial Systems Manager within FP&A, responsible for owning Lightspeed's enterprise performance management (EPM) platform end-to-end and serving as the primary liaison between Finance, the Data Office, IT, and broader business systems. The role includes technical ownership of Pigment, the new planning system, and driving its architecture, integrations, and evolution. Responsibilities Own Pigment as a system, including data models, calculation logic, dimensional structure, security and access design, version control, and release management. Partner with the Data Office on upstream data quality, source system integrations, and dimensional standards that flow through ERP, EPM, and BI. Define technical excellence for the Pigment environment by creating robust modelling guidelines, scalable patterns, and best‑practice implementations. Drive team proficiency through comprehensive documentation and targeted training programs for FP&A. Collaborate with FP&A leadership to translate business requirements into technical platform solutions and influence the long‑term roadmap. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field. Extensive hands‑on EPM platform experience, with deep ownership of at least one of Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, etc. Track record of leading or anchoring an EPM implementation through go‑live. Deep fluency in EPM data modelling: dimensional design, calculation logic, allocations, security architecture, and integrations. Strong understanding of finance source systems and data flows across ERP, data warehouse, and BI. Direct experience with BigQuery, NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce, or Looker is a strong plus. SQL proficiency for diagnosing upstream data issues. Python or scripting experience is a plus. Working knowledge of SOX compliance and its implications for financial systems, access reviews, and change management. AI fluency: use LLMs, copilots, and automation tools in everyday workflow, not just as a talking point. Comfort working across vendors, internal IT, and Data Office partners to resolve complex technical decisions. Ability to write clear specifications, requirements documents, and technical documentation that withstands scrutiny. Comfort explaining technical trade‑offs to senior finance leaders without excessive jargon. Cross‑functional fluency: experience working across Data, Accounting, IT, and business teams, not solely within Finance. Bias toward structural thinking: know when to ship a workaround and when to design it properly. Nice to Haves Fluency in SaaS and payments business mechanics. Pigment Certified Modeler certification or equivalent platform credential. Experience in a public‑company finance environment. Experience supporting an end‑to‑end system migration. FP&A foundation—built or supported revenue models, expense forecasts, headcount plans, or unit‑economics frameworks with an understanding of their purpose. Compensation Base salary range: $140,000 – $180,000 USD (dependent on location). Eligible for discretionary short‑term and long‑term incentives.
