Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU (Stepdown/PCU) travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Start date 08/17/2026 for a 13-week contract in a hospital setting. Weekly pay range $2,028–$2,172 per week, with no guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour days, evenings, or nights on a rotating schedule. Posting date 06/24/2026; valid through 11/14/2026. This assignment requires active NY RN licensure and experience in high-acuity neuro and stepdown care.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adult ICU/stepdown patients, including neurocritical care populations
- Perform Q1 neuro checks, monitor neurologic status, and respond to changes with appropriate escalation
- Manage devices and drains (e.g., EVDs, lumbar/subdural drains, arterial lines) and neurovascular procedures as applicable
- Administer and monitor medications, including vasopressors and Cardene drips, and ensure safe medication administration and documentation
- Maintain telemetry monitoring, hemodynamic stability, and strict adherence to patient safety and infection control protocols
- Act as charge nurse or preceptor as assigned, participate in committee activities, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in step-down/PCU with telemetry
- High-acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
- ACLS certification highly desired (preferred)
