Asset Based Lending Senior Business Development Officer - San Diego or Newport Beach

Bank of America Business Capital seeks a Senior Business Development Officer (BDO) to source and execute asset‑based lending transactions for large and middle‑market borrowers, supporting corporate growth, recapitalizations and refinancing initiatives in the Mid‑Atlantic Region. Responsibilities Originate new ABL credit facilities for companies with $50MM+ revenue Acquire profitable client relationships through sales, prospecting, and relationship enhancement Understand and interpret financial and cash flow statements to assess and analyze financial conditions and industry trends Collaborate with internal bank partners to deliver ABL solutions to clients and prospects Lead and facilitate dialogue with complex clients and prospects on industry, alternative capital structures, and general business issues Coach and mentor peers using leadership skills Adapt to changes in sales practices and broader market and industry conditions as needed Required Skills Direct calling experience at the CEO, CFO and MD level Five+ years of experience in ABL lending Strong oral, written, and analytical/credit skills Ability to travel for in‑person meetings FINRA 7, 63 licenses (or unmet license requirement to be completed within 180 days) Desired Skills Completion of a bank credit training program Minimum Education Requirement Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or economics preferred; MBA desirable or equivalent experience. Shift 1st shift (United States of America) Hours Per Week 40 Compensation Annualized salary: $189,500 – $234,200 (based on experience, education, and skill set).
