Responsibilities

• Create, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for milling and machining centers.

• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to develop machining programs.

• Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, feeds, and speeds for machining operations.

• Generate CNC programs using CAM software or machine-specific programming systems.

• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and production personnel during job setup and production.

• Troubleshoot CNC programs and machining issues to improve efficiency and quality.

• Optimize machining strategies and reduce cycle times.

• Verify CNC programs through test runs and production validation.

• Document machining processes and maintain CNC program files.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards and shop safety procedures.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.

Qualifications

• Strong CNC programming experience for milling and machining centers.

• Proficiency in machining processes, machine setup, cutting tools, feeds, and speeds.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.

• Experience with G-code, CAM software, and CNC controllers such as Fanuc, Haas, or similar.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Experience in precision manufacturing or CNC machining environments.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with machinists, engineers, and production teams.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Technical certificate or associate degree in machining, manufacturing technology, or related field preferred.

• Familiarity with measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and inspection techniques.

• Knowledge of shop safety practices.
