Be one of the first to apply — offer rates tend to be higher at this stage Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Neuro ICU RN for a high-acuity Level I Trauma Center requiring CO/compact RN license and dedicated Neuro ICU experience. Details 24-bed Neurosurgical ICU within a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level I Trauma Center High acuity, fast-paced surgical ICU setting Patient ratio of 1:2 Day and Night rotating shifts (3x12 hours), various days of the week Weekend shifts required per unit needs No on-call requirements Floating required, including to sister facilities within the METRO Region Epic charting system used Requirements Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications Minimum 2 years of RN experience required At least 1 year of experience in a dedicated Neuro specialty ICU required Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I and teaching hospital experience preferred Competent in hourly neurological assessments, ICP management, EVD/Ventric care, subarachnoid hemorrhage management, post-thrombectomy care, and post-craniotomy management Additional Information Provide critical care nursing for complex neurosurgical and neurological patients including CVA, TBI, and spinal cord injury cases Manage arterial lines, central lines, and titrated cardiac and vasoactive drips Care for ventilated patients including BiPAP/CPAP management and ABG interpretation Navy scrub color required First-time travelers considered if experience requirements are met Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout dates restricting time off during high-demand periods Local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius of the facility for local bill rate eligibility Prior UCHealth employees must disclose employment history for eligibility review Return travelers who completed a full year on assignment may not be rebooked for at least one year These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
