Controls Technician IILocation: Richland, WAThis position performs repairs and maintenance in plant or office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Uses hand/power tools and test meters. This includes but is not limited to, team work on line calls, PM completion, notifications, collaboration on projectsCommunicates well with other departments, supervisors,Shows leadership and can take charge of a situation to solve a problemGood troubleshooting skillsWilling to work overtime or off shift when neededNecessary Skills RequiredUnderstanding of instrumentation and equipment.Understanding of motor controls.Capable to be on shift with minimal supervisionBasic understanding in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, and meggers to ensure compatibility and safety of system.Have formal training or experience in mechanics, electricity, electrical schematics, with an understanding of instruments and controlsMaintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the state and federal levelsAble to use computer efficiently for keeping records, filling out log sheets, email.
