Senior Payroll Specialist

Salary Mid-Point: $75,000 Location: West Mifflin PA Job Type: Permanent Responsibilities of the Senior Payroll Specialist Process payroll weekly for both hourly and salary employees. Assist Payroll Manager with processing bi-weekly payroll for hourly employees. Reconciles issues with payroll systems and information. Performs weekly and daily audit of incoming information for data integrity. Prepares payroll reports from HRIS and timekeeping systems on a regular basis. Answers employee questions and investigates issues in a timely manner. Follows standard payroll processes and guidelines; complies with various state laws and regulations. Requirements of the Senior Payroll Specialist Five (5) plus years of experience in a high-volume, multi-state environment. Advanced knowledge of payroll regulations, tax compliance, and hospitality wage requirements. Proficiency in payroll systems and advanced Excel skills. Process payroll for both Salary and hourly employees Understanding of general payroll practices and laws including benefits/deductions, garnishments, taxation, and reporting.
