Accounts Payable Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist in Baltimore, MD. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support invoice processing, vendor management, payment processing, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate has strong AP experience, excellent attention to detail, and hands-on experience with Costpoint or OnBase. Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Specialist will receive, review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Match invoices to purchase orders, packing slips, and approvals
- Verify pricing, quantities, taxes, and account coding
- Prepare weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
- Maintain vendor records, W-9s, and supporting documentation
- Monitor AP aging and assist with cash flow forecasting
- As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will support month-end close, including accruals, AP reconciliations, and reporting
- Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls
- Assist with audit requests and process improvement initiatives
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Hands-on experience with Costpoint or OnBase required
- Experience with invoice processing, coding, and purchase order matching
- Experience with vendor reconciliations and payment processing
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High-volume AP experience
- Experience with ACH, check runs, and credit card payments
- Month-end close and accrual experience
