Job Description\n Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Iron Mountain, Michigan.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 11/02/2026\n Duration: 20 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2520\n $500 CONTRACT COMPLETION BONUS\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - Med Surg/Tele\n Job Details:\n • 12-hour shifts available for both day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) and night shift (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)\n • Weekend rotation required every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday\n • Holiday requirements: 2 out of 3 holidays required\n • Potential to be placed on call or standby\n • Must be able to float to like units and patients\n • Nurse-to-patient ratios: 5:1 on day shift, 6:1 at 11:00 PM; team nursing with LPNs at 2:7 ratios\n • 24-bed inpatient unit with capacity for up to 10 observation and day surgery patients\n • Common diagnoses include NHP, cellulitis, UTI, COPD, GU, pacemaker, sepsis, nursing home placements, and day surgical cases including ortho (hips and knees), cholecystectomies, appendectomies, and TURPS-CBI\n • Must be comfortable with IV starts as there is no IV team on site\n • Basic telemetry arrhythmia knowledge required; telemetry monitoring done in ICU daily with a physical monitor at the nurses' desk\n • RNs are not required to titrate drips\n • Travelers may be placed as relief charge nurse\n • Nurse aides available on the unit\n • Hospitalist in house until 6:00 PM daily, then telemed utilized\n • Respiratory therapy available 24/7; CPAP equipment on unit\n • 1 year of Med/Surg or Med/Surg Telemetry experience required; acute care experience required\n • Critical Access or Trauma Level 3 or 4 experience preferred\n • Experience and knowledge of TURPS-CBI preferred\n • Solid professional scrub color required, no specific color designated\n • Orientation: Day 1 includes 8-hour computer education and 4-hour shadow; Day 2 is a full 12-hour orientation shift; Day 3 independent practice begins\n • Must clock in and out at the facility\n • Required certifications: BLS (AHA); ACLS preferred\n Facility:\n This acute care facility is a Trauma Level 4 medical center offering inpatient and observation services across a range of specialties, including medical-surgical, telemetry, and day surgery. The unit operates with a collaborative team nursing model and has access to respiratory therapy, hospitalist coverage, and telemed support.
