As a fourth-generation family-owned company, our employees are driven by meaningful work that advances sustainability and supports the communities we serve.About The Role: Sloan has an opening for an Electronic Hardware Engineer II in our Andover, MA facility, reporting to the Electrical Engineering Manager.This role is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electronic hardware products. Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining product documentation, evaluating and improving existing hardware designs, developing test protocols, performing worst-case and failure analyses, executing engineering change orders, generating engineering reports, and providing guidance to technicians.What You’ll Do:Design, develop, and implement board level design, simulation, and optimization of front end circuitry, schematics capture, PCB layout and component evaluation. Create hardware design description and block diagram as required.Use a combination of logic, experience, analysis and methodologies to make solid, timely decisions and solve problems. Including but not limited to worst case analysis and DFMEAsPlans and create effective test protocols to verify and validate engineering designs to product requirementsProduce detailed engineering reportsProduce component level test for new and existing productsDesign necessary verification firmware routine for peripheral function testesProcess and execute ECNsFollow established document control proceduresWork with internal and external resources on design optimizationSupport advance researchGuide the work of techniciansOther duties and responsibilities as requiredWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer engineering4+ Years relative experienceCapable of designing small embedded system hardwareExperience developing PCBExperience using ICE tools in debugging peripheral driverExperience with circuit simulationExperience with capture schematicsExperience with ECAD softwareStrong experience using lab equipment (Oscilloscope, function generator) and setting up test stand and prototypingStrong oral communication skillsWorking knowledge and growing expertise in embedded sensor developmentA plus, but not required:Master's Degree in Electrical or Computer engineeringExperience with IEC, UL, and EMC compliance testingKnowledge of IPC standardWorking experience in ARM microcontrollerWorking experience using AlthiumWorking experience with battery powered small embedded sensor system#LI-CA1Sloan is an equal opportunity employer. Compensation:The compensation range for this U.S.-based position is $110,970-$123,300 annually.This position is eligible to participate in the company incentive plan. The terms and conditions of the company incentive plan will be provided to plan participants on an annual basis.
