Position Summary Scheduled Hours: 40. The Rosen laboratory studies bacterial virulence and immune response in several mouse models of infection focused on alternative approaches to the treatment or prevention of antibiotic‑resistant Gram‑negative infections. Specifically, we evaluate several candidate vaccines in various murine models of infection. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological and chemical hazards. Wear protective equipment and provide standard care to research animals. Participate in the evaluation of candidate vaccines in murine models of infection. Perform laboratory research tasks as directed, including standard animal care, data recording, and instrument operation. Adhere to safety and regulatory protocols at all times. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. No specific certifications, professional licenses, or prior work experience required. Physical ability to wear protective equipment and perform standard animal care duties. Ability to work independently and follow laboratory protocols. Preferred Qualifications Experience in bacteriology, immunology, and molecular biology or related fields. Knowledge of bacterial growth, cell culture, cloning, ELISA techniques, flow cytometry, PCR, and laboratory sterilization procedures. Strong data analysis, communication, Microsoft Office, and record‑keeping skills.
