Azure DevOps Engineer

Location: Pleasanton, CA (Remote) Duration: Long-Term Start Date: September 15, 2026 Employment Type: Long Term Contract Rate: TBD Exclusive: OpenKyber Exclusive Job Summary We are seeking an experienced AI Specialist with 5 7 years of hands-on experience in building and optimizing AI-powered applications on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Azure AI Search , Azure Functions , Azure DevOps , Node.js , and Cosmos DB/SQL , along with practical experience troubleshooting and optimizing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) solutions and migrating traditional RAG architectures to GraphRAG . Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize AI-powered applications using Azure AI services. Build and enhance Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Azure AI Search. Analyze, debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in existing RAG implementations. Convert and optimize traditional RAG solutions into GraphRAG architectures. Develop serverless applications using Azure Functions . Build backend services and APIs using Node.js . Design and optimize data solutions using Cosmos DB and SQL databases. Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using Azure DevOps . Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performing AI solutions. Monitor application performance and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability. Required Skills 5 7 years of hands-on experience as an AI Engineer/AI Specialist. Strong expertise in Azure AI Search . Experience with Azure Functions . Strong knowledge of Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines. Hands-on development experience with Node.js . Experience with Cosmos DB and SQL databases. Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture. Experience debugging, optimizing, and troubleshooting AI applications. Hands-on experience converting RAG solutions to GraphRAG . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Azure OpenAI Services and Generative AI applications. Knowledge of Graph Databases (Neo4j, Cosmos DB Gremlin API, or similar). Experience with vector databases and semantic search. Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel. Experience designing scalable AI and cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.
