Key Responsibilities\n

• Psychosocial Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments in a timely manner, utilizing your expertise in human behavior and psychosocial factors that influence treatment outcomes, while considering ethical and risk-related issues.

• Clinical Intervention: Provide empathetic counseling to patients and their families, linking them to community resources, and facilitating family meetings to discuss sensitive issues such as hospice care and living wills.

• Case Management: Effectively manage a diverse caseload, identifying high-risk situations, balancing ongoing patient care, and working in conjunction with case managers on discharge planning to ensure successful transitions from care.

• Documentation: Comply with hospital policies by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including Progress Notes and Interdisciplinary Plans of Care, ensuring that all documentation reflects the patient’s journey and treatment milestones.

• Training and In-service: Conduct educational sessions to inform staff about psychosocial aspects crucial to patient care, fostering an environment of learning and collaboration.

• Quality Improvement: Actively participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care by monitoring and analyzing outcomes, contributing to ongoing improvement efforts.

The primary client focus of the Detox Center includes individuals experiencing substance use disorders, requiring specialized interventions to address the complex psychological, social, and emotional issues associated with addiction. Qualifications\n

• Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical setting, with at least 1 year in a cancer or detox-specific environment preferred.

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification from the California Department of Consumer Affairs.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, with additional fire life safety training required within the first 30 days of employment.

• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, and exhibit exceptional customer service skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The anticipated annual salary range for this role is between USD 120,000 and 130,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
