Phlebotomist Float

Work Schedule Monday to Friday hours vary between 6:00am-6:00pm; additional hours and rotating weekends may be required. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent California state‑issued Phlebotomy license (CPT) Preferred Qualifications One or more years of experience as a phlebotomist Current or prior experience with Labcorp Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English Additional Job Standards In lieu of the state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at hire may satisfy the requirement At least six months of phlebotomy experience with geriatric and pediatric patients Pass a standardized color‑blindness test At least 21 years of age Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Reliable transportation Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Benefits Pay range $21.00–$33.00 per hour; float incentive: additional $1.50 per hour plus mileage reimbursement Eligible for a quarterly incentive bonus based on performance metrics Employees scheduled 20 or more hours per week qualify for medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary positions are eligible only for the 401(k) plan Employees on a 7‑on/7‑off schedule are eligible for all benefits except PTO or FTO Equal Opportunity Employer Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
