Essential Duties The duties specified below are representative of the range of duties assigned to the Noon Monitor/Playground Aide (3593N) and are not intended to be an inclusive or exhaustive list. As the Noon Monitor/Playground Aide, you will: Transport students safely on school grounds between destinations Supervise students at playtime and maintain a harmonious atmosphere on the playground Organize group games and activities Supervise lunch recesses in the cafeteria and in the school yard Assist students in wellness rooms Assist in restorative conversations and in response to students in crisis Walk around the yards and take precautionary steps to help children resolve conflicts using intervention strategies Send students to the office for medical attention or in serious discipline situations; perform other duties as requested by site administration The strongest candidates will have: Knowledge of San Francisco’s public schools/urban public schools and a belief in SFUSD’s commitment to instructional leadership Strong analytics and systems thinking to interpret data and inform goals and strategy Ability to work effectively across multiple functions within a complex organization Proven ability to plan, organize, and use resources to achieve goals Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail Flexible, proactive work ethic with a focus on delivering feasible solutions Excellent data analysis skills and experience synthesizing data to drive action steps Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with district staff Effective written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex processes Ability to define and implement effective HR business practices Ability to work in situations involving confidential and sensitive matters Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and GSuite Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Prior experience working with children/students under supervision in a school setting What We Offer SFUSD offers a competitive salary of $19.18/hourly and a comprehensive benefits plan including dental and vision plans, a defined benefit pension plan, disability, life insurance, flexible spending account options and vacation time.
