Operations Manager

Job Description The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily production operations of the plant. Essential Duties/Responsibilities Nothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Responsible for daily plant operations as directed by the Plant Manager. Monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements. Leads and directs the work of others. Manages and directs the operational policies, objectives, and initiatives. Maintains cleanliness of plant at all times and at end of shift. Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a plant operation or related environment. Demonstrated ability to supervise/manage others in an industrial/manufacturing setting. Preferred Qualifications College degree or college coursework preferred. Work well with others in a team; demonstrates leadership ability. Highly organized; superior time management skills. Exceptional communication skills both written and oral. Safety conscience; detail oriented; able to multi-task. Good mechanical skills; knowledge of plant processes and equipment. Physical Demands Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, & crouch. Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs. Regularly required reach with hands and arms. Work Environment Job functions will be carried out in a plant environment.
