Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients presenting with various urgent and emergent health conditions. Utilize advanced clinical skills to assess, prioritize, and stabilize patients in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients upon arrival, including vital signs, medical history, and presenting symptoms.
• Implement emergency interventions and stabilize patients according to protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and modify patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about treatments, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain thorough medical records.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control policies to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Current Iowa RN license with graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications through the American Heart Association.
• Previous experience in emergency or acute care settings preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
