Contract: 2026-2027 School Year
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday through Friday

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate Behavior Support Specialists for K-12 placements throughout the Wilmington, DE area for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. These full-time positions are a great fit for individuals who are passionate about supporting students with behavioral and emotional needs in a structured, team-oriented school environment.

As a Behavior Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in helping students navigate their school day successfully by providing individualized behavioral support, implementing behavior intervention plans, and fostering a safe and positive learning environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
------------------

• Provide 1:1 and small group behavioral support to students across grade levels (K-12)
• Assist in implementing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and support IEP goals
• Collect and track behavioral data to inform student progress
• Collaborate with special education teachers, counselors, and support staff
• Model positive behavior strategies and de-escalation techniques
• Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment

REQUIREMENTS
------------------

• Paraprofessional Certification OR 60 or more college credits (required)
• Experience working with students with behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs preferred
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies and de-escalation techniques a plus
• Strong communication, patience, and the ability to build rapport with students and staff
• Must be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday, during regular school hours
