Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor RN All Shifts Temporary Assignment starting 10/12/2026 in the acute care setting. This role involves providing care for patients with surgical and medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, kidney, and gastrointestinal issues, within a busy hospital environment. The RN will support a variety of units including Med/Onc, surgical, and medical units, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to safety standards.

Job Details

• Position: Medical Surgical Floor RN
• Location: Not specified (general healthcare facility setting)
• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; minimum of 2 years of related experience; BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a large hospital environment; familiarity with Cerner and transitioning to EPIC electronic medical record systems; experience with diverse medical/surgical conditions
• Responsibilities:
  • Care for a variety of patients with surgical and medical diagnoses including colorectal, hepatobiliary, bariatric, general, and orthopedic procedures, as well as medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, COPD, kidney, and GI issues
  • Support nursing staff with patient care activities in a high-acuity setting
  • Troubleshoot respiratory equipment like ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP devices (not directly involved in respiratory management on this unit)
  • Read and interpret remote telemonitoring strips as needed
  • Follow established protocols and collaborate with charge nurses and patient care techs
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• End Date: 01/04/2027
