The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.How you will create an impactTake ownership for achieving goals and outcomes.Oversee a range of programs and processes, in addition to handling complex underwriting.Successfully balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders and making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, judgment, and a risk mindset.Build effective relationships with brokers and to deliver a high standard of customer service as an example for the team to follow.Promote a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and learning while mentoring and developing colleagues through effective leadership, role modeling, and training programs.Facilitate personal growth and career development, supporting succession planning.Play a key role in new business development, including attending broker events and building new relationships across the market.What you’ll need to succeedProven underwriting experience in Excess Casualty and a successful record of selling Environmental, Excess or Primary Casualty, NA Auto, WC, AL, GL, DBA, Foreign Casualty products to clients.Deep technical expertise.Proven people management skills and a record of developing more junior colleagues is highly desired.The ability to analyze financial statements.Strong communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.Good organizational and time management skills.Customer and sales-orientated behaviors: motivated, tenacious, focused, technically skilled, proactive, and accountable.Ready to take your career to the next level? We would love to hear from you.For positions based in Chicago the base salary range for this position is $145,000-$175,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Your actual compensation will be dependent on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
