About Us: Transition Management ('TMC') is recognized for delivering industry-leading Labor Provision and Project Management Services at some of the most renowned resorts across the United States. TMC has a rich history of providing its services at iconic locations such as The Baccarat Hotel and Residences in New York City. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer to partner with our engineering team at a client location.

Position Title: Overnight Maintenance Engineer

Overview:  To maintain assets in all residential areas to an acceptable quality standard. To help operate, maintain, and perform repairs to building systems and infrastructure at the Aman Hotel & Residences in Midtown. These systems include, but are not limited to, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) BMS controls, lighting systems, and other building infrastructural systems. This is a 40-hour-per-week position reporting to the Chief Engineer.

Essential Responsibilities

• Uphold all engineering-related brand and service standards. Conduct daily walkthroughs throughout buildings, grounds, and the physical plant to ensure conformance with resort standards and guest requirements.
• Assure the building is prepared with functional equipment for all seasons and assist with upcoming storms. Assist in maintaining the grounds (i.e., keeping common pass-throughs neat and clear for our guests and team members)
• Always provides professional and courteous service
• Performs all preventative maintenance in front and back of house spaces, including carpentry, furniture repairs, constructing and installing building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes. Inspect and replace damaged frameworks, structures, and fixtures. etc
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records as required while ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed
• Ensures all projects are completed on schedule and according to specifications, as determined by the Director of Engineering
• Conducts regular inspections of resort rooms, common areas, grounds, and back-of-house facilities for defects; documents conditions and makes necessary repairs
• Responds to all emergencies, prepared to assist
• Responds to service requests for guest rooms and common areas
• Attends Team Member meetings as required

Requirements

• Knowledge in BMS systems is preferred but not required
• Possesses general repair skills, such as carpentry and other general repair skills
• Displays skill in the safe use of hand and power tools, along with other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks
• Solves problems using facts and professional judgment
• Reacts quickly and decisively in emergency situations that may involve valuable equipment or the safety of others
• Works well within a diverse team in the execution of duties
• Able to prioritize and change from one activity to another easily
• Be available on nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be well-groomed and in proper uniform while on duty

**Some of the duties of this position may change based on the business's needs.**

Rate: $32 - $35 hourly

Physical Demands

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. It requires moving, standing to a significant degree, reaching, ascending, handling, feeling, communicating, conversing, exchanging information, and identifying and observing.
