Automotive Service Technician

Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostics equipment to identify and complete automotive repairs to electrical and software systems. Compensation:$65,000 - $73,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Help establish service protocols for tracking the status of repairs, maintaining relevant technical manuals, using charts, and more for all of our dealerships
- Operate diagnostic equipment to accurately determine the cause of malfunction codes with the vehicle’s integrated computer system
- Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems
- Adhere to manufacturer specifications to maintain vehicle systems and ensure customer satisfaction
- When needed, conduct routine maintenance such as checking fluids, rotating tires, replacing brake pads, and oil changes
- GED or high school diploma is mandatory
- Completion of a certified post-secondary training program is mandatory; an associate degree is ideal
- Strong customer service and communications skills are needed
- ASE certification or comparable standard service technician credential, such as SAE, is attractive
