Key Qualifications:

• Active New York State Teaching License with current ART endorsements or certifications
• Prior experience in general education or art classroom settings is strongly preferred
• Ability to design and implement standards-based, dynamic art curriculum
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Willingness to collaborate effectively with colleagues and administration
• Passion for cultivating a creative and positive learning environment
• Flexibility to teach across various age groups pending final assignment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality, in-person art instruction to students
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages artistic exploration and skill development
• Prepare, organize, and maintain materials needed for projects and lessons
• Assess student progress and provide constructive, personalized feedback
• Incorporate innovative, age-appropriate techniques and mediums
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events as needed
• Uphold school policies and support the mission of academic excellence

This contract is scheduled from early September through late June, aligning with the academic calendar, for a total of 35 hours per week. If you hold the required license and are eager to inspire students through art, you may be the perfect fit.
