Ignite creativity in students as a full-time Art Teacher in a vibrant school community located near Horseheads, NY. This contract opportunity runs from September 8, 2026, to June 25, 2027, with potential for renewal based on fit and performance. Key Requirements:
• Active New York State teaching license with ART endorsement/certification
• Experience in general education or classroom teaching settings
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to create dynamic and engaging lesson plans that foster artistic expression
• Passion for supporting student growth, creativity, and confidence
• Willingness to collaborate with faculty and contribute to the school community
Primary Responsibilities:
• Deliver general education art instruction to students in accordance with New York State standards
• Design and implement age-appropriate art lessons, projects, and activities
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages artistic exploration
• Organize and display student artwork for exhibitions or school events
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance cross-curricular learning opportunities
• Participate in professional development and school activities as required
