Maintenance ManagerSummary The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, developing, managing, and executing all aspects for maintenance with suppliers, local and corporate-wide employees and the manufacturing staff. The incumbent is also responsible for the supervising, training, and mentoring members of the Maintenance department with a strong focus on communication, continuous improvement, and follow through. This position exists to ensure the production equipment is properly maintained in order to produce and package all products according to customer specifications and food safety policies.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage the plant's machinery preventive maintenance plan preparation, implementation, and follow throughUtilities operation management (steam, water, compressed air, refrigeration, wastewater, HVAC)Manage maintenance processes and systems. Implement maintenance procedures resulting in an increase in maintenance effectiveness.Organize and coach maintenance team and technical team activities including coaching and mentoring a team across 3 shifts of operationManage the spare parts inventory accuracy, allocation, and documentation processesBuild and manage vendor relationships with technical material suppliers (quotations, works, and contracts)Preparing, monitoring, and managing maintenance department budgetCreate, monitor, and drive completion on departmental actions and project workPrepare and implement technical instructions and procedures in line with legislation and internal rules. Manage the technical documentation related to maintenance activities including reports, records, manuals, certificatesResponsibility for implementation and follow up on Safety procedures as it relates to safe operation of equipmentManage overall LOTO program and trainingPrepare and follow up with department training plan in line with company needsDepartment KPIs indicators monitoring, managing, and reporting on a daily and weekly basisParticipate in daily operational forums, huddles, escalation meetings, and staff meetingsQualificationsBachelor's degree in business/technical-related field is preferred.Five (5) or more years of related work experience, experience managing and leading a Maintenance department across multiple shifts in the food industry required.Experience working with large commercial equipment, tanks, pumps, motors, valves, sensors, pipingExperience driving CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) required with focus on trends and root cause analysisPLC working knowledgeExperience with automation projects, line improvement projectsExperience with facility maintenance requiredExposure with and understanding of Continuous Improvement tools and methodsManagement experience with reliability initiativesExperience with root cause, predictive actions, and preventative actionsTime management skills with a high focus on multi-tasking and executionBasic electrical & HVAC beneficial but not requiredCompetencies/SkillsPresentations SkillsProven Leadership SkillsTeamworkProblem Solving/AnalyticalOrganizational SkillsCommunications Proficiency (to include written, verbal, and negotiation)Time Management (manage priorities and workflow)
