The role also involves partnering with the Board on strategic planning, recruiting and mentoring a large team, and supporting fundraising and stakeholder engagement. Applicants for the CEO position at the company must have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a background in leadership within a nonprofit, legal aid, social services, public interest, or mission-driven organization. Experience in managing staff, budgets, grants, and compliance is essential, as is an Indiana bar license or the ability to obtain one. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executive leadership, be adept at building relationships with community leaders, government officials, and funding partners, and be committed to the mission of the organization. The role requires a dynamic individual who can blend mission, strategy, fundraising, and operations, and who is prepared to take on a leadership position with a significant level of responsibility and influence.
